Drupal

Drupal is the world's leading open source content management system (CMS) after Wordpress, which is more of a blogging platform than a full CMS. The Drupal software is used by some of the world's biggest brands, non-profit organizations and government bodies.

The release of Drupal 8 has significantly modernized the CMS and keeps Drupal a top choice for the construction of and especially if there are requirements for complex relationships between content types.

At Desarol, we have racked up over a decade of experience working with Drupal and we rate it very highly. We have vast experience building enterprise-level websites and collaborating with the Drupal community.

As the web advances and complexity increases, more of an emphasis is being put into breaking applications apart into different maintainable pieces. This is especially true with Drupal, as it moves from being a monolith to more of a backend-as-a-service (BAAS). We have extensive experience working with building both Drupal themes in Twig, but more and more we are leveraging React-based frameworks like GatsbyJS on the front-end and pulling in data from Drupal using source plugins.
